FIlm review on Tsotsi

Tsotsi is a great drama movie as it portrays lots of different issues. Tsotsi is the main character in the movie. he starts of as these hard gangster type character who's into making money even if it means killing people, he is a gang leader.Butcher is also another hard gangster type character who wants to be the leader and he has no remorse for his actions what so ever. Boston is this smart character who is trapped in to being a gangster due to the harsh living conditions in South Africa. Aap is this huge guy behaves sum how like a child as he just follows the gang around, he dose not really have a mind of his own. Mariam is the young single mum who's struggling to feed her young baby.

Tsotsi is this tough gangster who is in life for the danger and money, but as the movie goes own we start to know more about Tsotsi. we learn that he had a very terrible child hood and thats why he is the person that he is today. when Tsotsi goes out one night and hijacks unfortunately there is a baby in the back seat. through this experience we see Tsotsi change dramatically from this tough gangster to this young father like character who is very warm and loving. Mariam is used to soften Tsotsi's heart to bring out the good side to Tsotsi. the director did a really good job in the transformation of Tsotsi character.

The most issues raised in this movie is poverty. it shows how most kids suffer in South Africa. in one of the scenes it shows the homeless kids at this dump site. they are living in a place where people through the rubbish its a very dry place and quite easy to catch any diseases or infections.
